The counselling service at Loreto College is available to all students. Counselling offers the opportunity to talk through concerns in a private setting, and many students find that counselling can help to explore feelings, thoughts and personal experiences in order to work towards finding solutions or the best ways to deal positively with difficult situations or decisions.
School Counsellors are trained to be non-judgmental, reflective, and respectful of individual differences. We can offer professional support and expertise on a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Common concerns for students include:
• Strategies to support organisation and study habits
• Coping with academic pressures
• Anxiety and/or stress
• Relationship concerns or difficulties (family, friends or others)
• Self-confidence and identity issues
• Dealing with changes
Appointments to see Lauren Charles or Liz Marlay can be made through Year Level Coordinator’s or via email
