We are excited to announce that on Thursday 16 November at 12.35pm in the Mary Ward Centre, the Loreto Class of 2023 will be “rocking the chop” to save lives. The Class of 2023 has undertaken the “Ponytail Project,” a nationwide fundraising campaign that aims to assist those affected by cancer.
This inspiring initiative involves 35 students who will be chopping off their ponytail. Longer ponytails are sent to Sustainable Salons to create wigs for cancer patients. Shorter lengths are directed towards the Hair Boom Project, where it is used in research, environmental disaster cleanup, or composting.
We extend an invitation to all parents, carers, and community members to join us on this momentous occasion. Your presence will uplift our students and further highlight the importance of their work.
